Ingredients



For the Cake:

- 2 tablespoons of butter, softened
- 4 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¼ cup of milk
- 2 cups of confectioners' sugar
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

Instructions



1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder. Set aside.

3. In a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk, mixing just until incorporated. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.

4. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
